Theo’s Self Serve Dog Wash in Vancouver, Washington was inspired by a very real problem — a muddy, sandy, extremely smelly German Shepherd named Theo.
Adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic, Theo quickly became an adventure companion. From hiking forest trails to digging holes at the beach, he loved exploring the Pacific Northwest. The only problem? Every adventure ended with a dog that desperately needed a bath.
What should have been simple wasn’t. Most options meant expensive grooming appointments, limited hours, or scheduling weeks in advance. Sometimes all you want is a quick place to wash your dog after a hike — without turning your bathroom into a disaster.
That’s when the idea for Theo’s was born.
Instead of waiting for someone else to build the kind of place local dog owners needed, the decision was made to create it. Theo’s Self Serve Dog Wash is designed to be fast, easy, and affordable — a place where dog owners can stop in, wash their pup, dry them off, and get back to their day.
Our first location features a professional self-serve wash station equipped with quality shampoo, conditioner, flea & tick treatment, and high-velocity dryers to make bath time simple and stress-free. You’ll also find a curated vending machine stocked with Theo’s Treats, natural dog snacks made with simple ingredients dogs love, along with convenient pet essentials.
Behind the scenes, Theo’s operates under To-Ku Management Group LLC, named after To-Ku — a beloved cat who was part of the family for over 19 years. Shortly after the company was formed, To-Ku passed away, but his name lives on as a reminder of why this business exists in the first place: because pets are family.
As Theo’s grows, we’re committed to giving back by supporting local rescues and organizations like the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, helping more pets find loving homes and live happy, healthy lives.
Our goal is simple: create a place where dogs leave clean, owners leave happy, and bath time becomes part of the adventure — not the chore.
